Mass on Saturday, May 12th – At 4:00 PM, Fr. Richard Voigt will offer Mass at St. Dominic’s Chapel. And since it’s the day before Mothers’ Day, there will be a May Crowning after Mass. And then we will have a potluck afterwards — please feel free to join us!
Happy Mothers’ Day! – A happy and blessed Mothers’ Day to all the mothers out there! We should remember to pray for our mothers, living or deceased, especially on Mothers’ Day.

Quinquagesima Sunday – Quinquagesima is the last Sunday before Ash Wednesday. Quinquagesima means “50th day” because it is (roughly) 50 days before Easter.
Lent begins this Wednesday – This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Ash Wednesday is a day of mandatory fasting and abstinence, even in the permissive Conciliar Church. The imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday (or the following Sunday) is a sacramental, during which the priest repeats the words God spoke to Adam, “Thou art dust, and unto dust thou shalt return.”
Epistle Reading(1 Cor. 13:1-13)
Brethren: If I speak with the tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Gospel Reading(Luke 18:31-43)

Fr. Voigt Mass – Fr. Richard Voigt will be visiting St. Dominic’s today (Feb. 14th) to offer Mass. He will also be distributing Ashes after Mass. Fr. Voigt is a Salesian priest who came to Tradition several years ago and was conditionally ordained by Bishop Williamson.
Benediction Next Week – Next Sunday is the 3rd Sunday of the month, so we will have Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament immediately after Mass.
More New Sidewalk – A month ago, the chapel’s concrete sidewalk was only 16 feet long. Today it is 64 feet long! The sidewalk is necessary whenever it rains, due to mud and water runoff. If you wish to make a donation towards this chapel improvement, you can use the donation can on the table by the main entrance.

A Look Ahead – The 1st Sunday of March, (March 6th, also Laetare Sunday) we will have Low Mass at8:00 AM instead of the usual 4:00 PM. Also, our usual monthly High Mass and potluck will be moved to the SECOND Sunday of March (March 13th).

Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and set him upon the pinnacle of the temple, And said to him: If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it is written: That he hath given his angels charge over thee, and in their hands shall they bear thee up, lest perhaps thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said to him: It is written again: Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again the devil took him up into a very high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, And said to him: All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me. The Salesian Fr. Richard Voigt is now working with Bishop Williamson/Bishop Faure and Fr. Zendejas. Consequently, he said Mass yesterday at St. Dominic’s Chapel and will be back on February 14th (the 2nd Sunday of this month).
Fr. Voigt has been Traditional for many years; he has been conditionally ordained by Bishop Williamson.
Yesterday’s turnout was above-average. It was a Low Mass, but we had 2 servers, a choir of 2, and an organist playing the 4 hymns (processional, offertory, Communion, and recessional), plus a decent sized congregation. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot. All in all, it was a great “welcome back” for Fr. Voigt.
Fr. Voigt Mass – This Sunday, we welcome back Fr. Richard Voigt who will be visiting St. Dominic’s to offer Mass. It also happens to be the feast of St. John Bosco, the founder of the Salesian order. Fr. Voigt is a Salesian priest who came to Tradition several years ago and was conditionally ordained by Bishop Williamson.

Catholic Faith Fact – Today is Sexagesima (Greek for “sixty days”), and the Church continues getting us ready for the coming season of Lent. Easter is now less than 60 days away, and we should begin thinking about what sacrifices we will offer up this Lent. Another name for Lent is Quadragesima or “the Forty Days”, referring to the forty days’ fast Our Lord performed in the desert right before He began His public ministry.
